King & Moffatt are delighted to be delivering the Mechanical and Electrical installation at Greggs new state-of-the-art frozen production and logistics facility in SmartParc Derby for our valued clients TSL.
The new site, which is currently being developed and is expected to open in late 2026, will provide Greggs with additional manufacturing and logistics capacity, as they extend their network to service up to 3,500 shops in the UK.
The new purpose-built facility will provide additional manufacturing capacity for products – including sweet and savoury production lines – as well as logistics for frozen storage and fully automated robotic order picking and distribution.
With sustainability being a key focus for Greggs, this site has been designed with the environment in mind, with features including an onsite shared Energy Centre (a centralised heating and cooling system that recycles heat from refrigeration plants across the estate), a rainwater harvesting system, PV panels and EV charging points.
