Following the successful Estates Day at Kettering General Hospital we attended the Recruitment, Skills, and Careers Event at Kettering Tresham Campus. We worked in partnership with North Northamptonshire Council, Job Centre Plus, Workpays, and Tresham College. Senior Project Manager Tim Groom was in attendance.
The event provided an excellent opportunity for Sir Robert McAlpine and King & Moffatt Building Services to promote the ongoing works at Kettering Hospital as well as the available careers within construction and the M&E sector. Including King & Moffatts own engineering graduate programme.
The event was opened up to all key supply chain partners on the Kettering Hospital Energy Centre project. Both HVSS – High Voltage Systems & Services Ltd and JGD District Heating also attended the event. JGD brought a section of District Heating Main pipework to demonstrate the jointing process while, HVSS attended with a number of staff and a samples board of typical High Voltage cabling. Presentation boards about the Energy Centre and the Rockingham Wing, a new 44-bed maternity ward were displayed along with a time lapse video showing the intended infrastructure installation across the hospital.
Our attendance at the event was well received by the organisers, the general public, and other fellow exhibitors who had an invested interest in the development of their local hospital site. Our demonstration of our ongoing commitment to social sustainability is a key part of the Kettering General Hospital scheme. Ensuring that we identify and manage the project impact for the local community, and leave a legacy we can be proud of.
